Eco campsite in Bude

Cerenety Eco Campsite was established in 2009 and offers solar powered showers and compost toilets. Set in the peaceful hillside fields overlooking Bude, 1 mile from town and beaches that can be reached by road, coastal path, or lovely, canal tow path walks, Cerenety is also half a mile from the coastal foot path and Upton Beach, known for its quiet, natural beauty.

We are proud to be a simple, back to basics site where there is no hard-standing or electric hook-up, but there is plenty of space for children to run around and for you to spend evenings chatting around campfires (so try and bring a fire bowl) and cooking/barbecuing al fresco.

Our animals

Through the years, we have been joined by several domestic and farm animals and these family members reside in the pastures next to the camping fields. These characters include Sid and Fred, our orphan lambs; Luccia and Heather, mother and daughter alpacas; Red the ex-racehorse and ponies, Torre and Maizie; and don’t forget Little Nana, the miniature Shetland!

If you wish to feed any of our animals, we can arrange this at a time of your choosing.

Things to do

As with most of the beautiful county of Cornwall, Bude is a haven for people who love outdoor activities, from a gentle paddle board down the canal, to coast seeing the many inlets, cliffs and caves. You can get all details from the Bude Tourist Information Office . They will also help with day trips, even including to the Scilly's or Lundy Island.

Of course, surfing remains a firm favourite, and whether you’re a skilled surfer or you would like to try it for the first time, you can enjoy the waves here. There are Surf Schools at Summerleaze Beach in Bude and Widemouth Bay about 3 miles along the coast.

Bude isn't ALL outdoor though, the town has many shops, pubs and restaurants to suit all pockets.
